We express gratitude to God for His guidance throughout our discussion on “Equipping Leaders Through Education.” Our dialogue underscored the crucial role of both formal and informal education in establishing the foundation for effective, adaptable and insightful leadership. Indeed, knowledge and education serve as cornerstones in the development of leaders.

As we discuss the last lesson in this series, “NURTURING LEADERSHIP SKILLS IN YOUTH,” we once again seek God’s guidance. This subject prompts us to reflect on how societal influences shape the upcoming generation, while also delving into relevant biblical narratives and their significance.

May God graciously lead us in aligning our teachings with His will, empowering us to impart valuable insights to our learners, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

BIBLICAL IMPACTFUL YOUTH LEADERS’ FLAIR (1 Tim. 4:12)

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
(1 Tim. 4:12).

a) 1Tim.4:12 urges young leaders to defy age-based stereotypes setting a compelling example of maturity, faithfulness and integrity in speech,
conduct, love, faith, and purity. Below are some Biblical youths who made positive impacts along this line:

  • Samuel guided Israel from the youth, anointing kings and Safeguarding their spiritual legacy (1 Sam. 3:1-21).
  • David, crowned king at a tender age, showed courage, defeating Goliath and bringing stability to Israel. His psalims inspire globally (1 Sam. 16:12-13).
  • Josiah, crowned king at 8, sparked a religious revival, reinstating
worship and reviwving devotion to YAHWEH (2 kgs. 22:1)
  • Jeremiah, chosen young as a prophet, fearlessly urged Judah to return to God’s ways (Jer.1:4-10).
  • Daniel, in Babylonian exile, inspired faithfulness through wisdom and dream interpretation (Dan. 1:8;3:1ff; 6:1ff).
  • Mary’s humble obedience led to the birth of Jesus, bringing salvation (Lk. 1:26-38).
  • Timothy, a young Church leader, inspired believers with dedication to the Gospel (1 Tim. 4:12).
